Lisa Marie Williams (aka RosaLisa)

Founder, Head Instructor & Choreographer.

" In 2004, aged 18, I visited a gentlemens club in Liverpool with friends, purely out of curiosity. I remember being amazed at the goddess-like creatures that had men hanging on their every movement.

I was mesmerized by this exotic dance... and THEN I saw my first pole dance.
I was so intrigued by this new world I had found, I wanted to be part of it.

Over the next 6 months I couldn't stop thinking about all I'd seen so I decided to try it thinking, if I don't like it then at least I tried''

And so began the start of a very exciting career.......

Lisa danced as an Exotic dancer and Pole performer for 7 years, dancing in Gentlemans clubs across the North-West. Her reputation grew large for her sensual, daring pole shows on stage which captivated her whole audience.

After settling in Chester, and with Pole becoming more popular as a form of exercise, Lisa put together a plan to open her own dance school.

In 2009 she realised her dream and opened Apsara Dance.

Lisa danced as a Resident Burlesque Artist for 1 year and worked closely with University of Chester to create Chester's first Pole Fitness Society.

Shortly after Lisa opened Chester's first dedicated to pole studio and began training her students and herself to compete in National competitions - with tremendous success!

Alongside these incredible achievements Lisa also co-produces Apsara Dance Charity Showcases each year, giving her students the opportunity to perform in front of large audiences and their family & friends.

Lisa is the Founder and Chairwoman of Tony's Big Bottle Society, an awareness campaign founded in loving memory of her brother Tony Williams, to raise awareness of Oesophageal cancer and to raise funds for already established charities.

This year Lisa is taking a little break from competing to focus on expanding to larger premises.

Lisa is honoured to be on the other side of the stage now as a Judge and she is delighted to launch her own Workshops to teach in Studio's across the UK.

Lisa is a PDC Approved Instructor and Assessor, First Aid trained and Insured.

Belinda Price  (Billie)

Billie joined Apsara Dance as a student in 2010. After falling in love with the art Billie has worked tirelessly to not only develop her own skills but to also support her fellow dancers and she joined our team as an Instructor in 2013.

Billie likes to prove that pole is for everyone, regardless of age or experience and is always up for any challenge, if there is a gravity defying pole move out there - Billie will find it!

With no previous dance or gymnastic experience, Billie has embraced all things pole, using the strength & flexibility gained to explore & develop new interests in Aerial Silks & Hoop - so much so she made her boyfriend build a rig in her back garden to further develop her Hoop & Silks skills.

Billie has performed at all of our Annual Charity Showcases & Local Event performances.

Billie is a PDC Level 3 Approved Instructor, First Aid trained & Fully Insured.

Katie has been pole dancing since 2009 and the thing she loves most is the amazing Pole Family & the Community created by women supporting women.

Katie's other passions include running & travelling, even better when combined. Katie has completed two half marathons, the Colour Run, Tough Mudder, Chester Half Marathon & most  recently, she travelled to Prague to complete the Prague Half Marathon!

Katie's last holiday to Rio left her utterly amazed admiring the stunning Samba dancers at the infamous Rio Carnival!

Katie has even more incredible plans to travel the world so watch this space!

Katie became an Instructor in 2016 and finds teaching has given her a new found motivation to learn as many moves as she can to teach to her girls, knowing exactly what move will excite each one of her girls.

Amy Breen

Instructor & Lyrical Pole Choreographer

Amy has been dancing since the age of 9, competing in dance competitions of all kinds including; Lyrical, Tap & Jazz. Out of all of the styles of dance Amy has done, she says she has never felt more at home than she does pole dancing at Apsara Dance. She loves how pole dancing encompasses all of the things she believe dance is about: freedom, fun & expression, whilst building strength and improving technique.

Amy began pole dancing with us in 2013 and has performed in 2 of our Annual Charity Showcases. She says the best pole moment for her has to be performing a tap/jazz duo with her amazing mum at last years Showcase.

Amy recently joined our team as an Instructor and is loving the enthusiasm each student brings, it's infectious and creates such a positive atmosphere that everyone feels as they walk through the door.

Amy is a PDC Level 3 Approved Instructor, First Aid trained and Fully Insured.
